Some setbacks are temporary. Eventually things heal. The opportunity comes. The season changes. Life starts moving again. But some things change life permanently. Sometimes there is no going back to the way things were. The relationship is over. The opportunity is gone. The diagnosis changes the future. The dream you built your life around simply isn’t going to happen. At some point, you have to stop asking, “How do I get back to where I was?” and start asking a much harder question: “How do I move forward from here?”.
