At a time where family create spending caps for Christmas gifts, we’re reminded that is the only thing fair about Christmas. Christmas is the time where for an hour or two, or maybe day or two, you have to pretend that everything is fine. Pretending that what actually happened didn’t happen. Pretending that your family is the perfect family everybody thinks you are, not the dysfunctional family you know you are. It’s understandable to repay hurt for hurt, but if and when you do, you will write a pretty predictable story. Christmas is an invitation to write a remarkable story instead. That is the heart of Christmas, and in part 2 of this Christmas series, we’re going to unwrap how to do that.
